I am an Adult Psychiatrist, American Board Of Psychiatry and Neurology Board Certified Diplomate with a Sub-Specialty in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Graduate of Columbia University, Mailman School of Public Health with Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Public Psychiatry.  Studied at the Psychoanalytic Institute at Columbia University.  My training has enabled me to have expertise in psychopharmacology and also patient centered care with focus on primary psychiatric diagnosis and personality disorders.
My passion is helping people to restore their lives. Since I am also a child and adolescent psychiatrist I am especially sensitive to understanding the dynamics and progression of mental health into adulthood. I treat many psychiatric disorders and provide psychotherapy.
I treat mood and affective disorders including bipolar disorder, cyclothymia, rapid cycling, mixed episodes, depression, schizophrenia, psychotic episodes, generalized anxiety disorders, panic disorder, OCD, body dysmorphic disorder, somatization disorder, hypochondriasis, eating disorder, child hood disorders, ADHD, ADD, ODD, and a variety of personality disorders and much more……….

It’s known for its open-minded community of families and young professionals. The mix of indie boutiques, laid-back bars and casual restaurants along 5th Avenue and pockets of 7th Avenue caters to the diverse area. Locals and visitors head to sprawling Prospect Park for outdoor concerts, picnics and jogging.  Office location is near R train (Union Street subway), or Q train by Flatbush.  Walking distance from Barclay Center next to train hub with other subway lines. Her office is on the 3rd floor, elevator available.  Suite 10A, Buzzer is #6. 

As an added convenient Dr. Garcia is a telepsychiatry physician and she is able to do HIPPA compliant sessions on-line for initial evaluations and medication management sessions
